Best American Short Stories 2008 has just been published. Salman Rushdie is the editor, and he includes my story "Closely Held" in the anthology. The story was first published in Ploughshares. The characters and events in "Closely Held" appear in the novel I am writing now, and so the story provides something of a sneak peek into my new work.
